Disney Dreamlight Valley has gradually gained popularity and has become a life simulation experience that has hooked many Disney fans. Sadly, the absence of an important option makes it a bit worse on PlayStation, and Sony is to blame for that.
If you are a fan of Disney Dreamlight Valley and enjoy playing on different platforms, you surely love the cross-save option. Well, while this option is present on platforms like Xbox or PC, it is completely absent from PlayStation. The reason? Developer Gameloft recently explained on Twitter that this is because Sony has blocked its implementation.
"Unfortunately, due to platform restrictions, PlayStation does not support cross-save. Therefore, it will not be possible to synchronize your progress from other platforms with your progress on PlayStation," explained Gameloft.
Unfortunately, due to platform restrictions, PlayStation doesn't support cross-platform play. 😕 Therefore, it won't be possible to synchronize your progress from other platforms/consoles with your PlayStation account progress.

The cross-save feature is very useful for players who enjoy playing on different platforms, as it allows them to save their progress on one and then continue right where they left off on another. So you can imagine that it's a shame that this option is not available for Disney Dreamlight Valley on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 due to platform restrictions.
Remember that this isn't the first time something like this has happened. Back in 2018, Sony put many obstacles in the way of Fortnite users being able to play with those on other platforms. While it eventually gave in, it showed that it wasn't entirely comfortable with options that allowed cross-play with other consoles (although they didn't seem to have much trouble with PC).
We hope that Sony eventually allows the use of cross-save in Disney Dreamlight Valley, especially when it becomes free and more players want to use it. Meanwhile, PlayStation users can only wait and see if this changes in the future.
Currently, Disney Dreamlight Valley can only be accessed by purchasing a founder's pack or subscribing to Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus. Although the game will be free later this year, many players will be unhappy if they don't have the option to use cross-save.
