Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be Konami's second attempt to bring back the franchise without the help of Hideo Kojima. Despite this, fans are hopeful that the result will be favorable. Konami apparently is also hopeful and could even work on more remakes of the tactical espionage action series.
Konami has already explained several details of the project it is developing in conjunction with Virtuos, but one of the fans' questions remained unanswered: why remake Metal Gear Solid 3 and not another installment in the series? Fortunately, Konami has now answered, and the answer was clear and simple.
"We chose Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater because it shows the birth of Big Boss (Naked Snake), which is the origin point of the Metal Gear series," explained the Konami spokesperson (via IGN). "Another reason is that many fans have requested a remake of this game for a long time."
WILL KONAMI WORK ON MORE METAL GEAR REMAKES? FANS WILL BE KEY
Even without seeing the result of Metal Gear Solid Delta, fans of the series hope that Konami will work on more remakes of the series. The good news is that Konami does not rule out that possibility, but it is clear that they need the support of their fans.
"As for remakes of previous games in the series other than Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, we will listen to demand from players and consider it based on that," the spokesperson said.
Apparently, Konami has not listened very well to the fans or the consideration has not materialized into a game, as fans have also requested a remake of Metal Gear (1987) and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (1990), as well as Metal Gear Solid (1998).
This is what fans ask for because these are the titles in the series that would benefit the most from advances in technology, as we remember that the first two have somewhat outdated visuals.
Metal Gear Solid 3, as Konami rightly says, not only shows the birth of Big Boss but could also generate interest in the character and thus develop the aforementioned remakes, which continue this legend's adventure.
Which Metal Gear remake would you like Konami to make next? Let us know in the comments.
