Rare surprised in 2019 with the revelation of Everwild, a new IP that is still a mystery. The studio has shared virtually nothing about this project and, as expected, fans are expecting it to reappear at the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase.
Andy Robinson, VGC journalist, recently shared some very interesting details about the project. So Rare fans are excited, especially since Everwild will apparently bear some resemblance to Viva Piñata.
Insider says Everwild will be similar to Viva Piñata
A concerned fan asked Robinson about Everwild and its development. The journalist and insider stated that he hasn't been as aware of the project, but clarified that there is no reason to be concerned.
The reason? Robinson believes that the project will go ahead and will be great thanks to Greg Mayles, who is leading the project. To get gamers excited, he revealed some of the latest details he's heard about the title.
"Last I heard it was a bit more Viva Pinata than the survival game the earlier trailers hinted at. The team there will knock it out of the park, I'm certain," said the journalist.
His statements excited quite a few Rare fans who are fans of Viva Piñata. While it is not known what elements of Everwild might be inspired by the said saga, gamers believe that this is good news.
Now, it is necessary to clarify that this information is merely a rumor. Robinson is a reliable source; however, Rare has not confirmed anything about it. Hopefully, we will see the project at the Xbox Games Showcase and we will finally find out.
