The survival horror is proving to be a true success

Resident Evil 4 debuted a few months ago, and audiences are loving it. Fortunately, Capcom is receiving what it deserves for its effort, as the remake of this classic has already become one of the best-selling games in their history.

Capcom announced that Resident Evil 4 is now part of their Platinum Titles, meaning it is on the list of their best-selling games. Specifically, Resident Evil ranks 24th among Capcom's best-selling games in its history, with just under 3 months on the market.

On the Platinum Titles list, Resident Evil 4 appears in 24th place with 3.7 million copies sold. However, this figure is outdated since Capcom recently announced that they have already shipped 4 million copies of this title. This means that in reality, Resident Evil 4 should occupy the 21st place on the list, surpassing sales of Resident Evil (the PS3 version), Monster Freedom Unite and Resident Evil 0: HD Remaster.

Surely, the success of Resident Evil 4 was something that Capcom expected. Remember that Resident Evil 4 is one of the most successful installments in the series, and the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 are in the top 10 of their most popular games.
