Dead Space returned after years of absence with a remake that left players satisfied. The good reception of the project has pleased Electronic Arts, who has already announced the next step in the franchise: Dead Space: Deep Cover.
The project will arrive in early 2024, help expand the franchise's lore, and fans can enjoy it for free. It is important to clarify that it is not a video game, as it is a podcast produced by Bloody Disgusting and Cineverse Podcast Network, with the collaboration of EA.
What will Dead Space: Deep Cover offer fans?
According to its synopsis, Dead Space: Deep Cover will tell us the story of Emmeline Ayuba, a journalist who is looking for her sister, who joined an Unitologist church, the religion of the franchise. In her adventure, she will discover various internal conflicts and things that will alarm her.
The podcast's story is the responsibility of Ben Counter, a writer known for his science fiction works and his work on Warhammer 40,000. The production will be available early next year, specifically between January and March 2024.
Interested parties can enjoy Dead Space: Deep Cover for free on platforms such as Spotify and Apple Podcasts. Emmeline Ayuba and her sister's adventure will be told over 12 weekly episodes.
"As fans of Dead Space, it's great to see the level of passion and creativity shown by the Cineverse team to deliver this untold story to fans," said Roman Campos-Oriola, the creative director of the production.
