ATLUS has long confirmed the development of Persona 6; however, it has not given any hints about its reveal. Some fans are still hopeful that it will happen this year, so a well-known ATLUS insider decided to talk about it.
Gamers know that it will soon be the 2nd anniversary since the title's confirmation. So MbKKKssTBhz5 asked the community to control their expectations. He stated that ATLUS planned to reveal the sixth installment some time ago; however, there was a change of plans. In addition, he assured that the game will be somewhat different from the past installments, as it is in the hands of new staff.
Persona 6 would be very different and ATLUS would reveal it until 2024
MbKKKssTBhz5 stated that the new installment will be very different in many ways, as new developers from the Persona team are in charge. He stated that some of the Persona 3 Reload staff are also involved, but they are only overseeing the project.
In addition, he revealed that one of the codenames for Persona 6 is Carbon. Another interesting detail is that ATLUS was supposedly planning to reveal the game quite some time ago, but will now reveal it until 2024.
The insider stated that the game will be revealed along with another spin-off of the saga codenamed Asa. As for its release platforms, MbKKKssTBhz5 assured that for now he only knows that Persona 6 will be coming to PlayStation 5.
It is worth remembering that some rumors claim that it will be exclusive to Sony's console, but nothing is confirmed. The details shared by the insider worried some players, who fear that the title will still take a long time to arrive or that it will be so different that it will affect the essence of the saga.
While MbKKKssTBhz5's information is unofficial and should be considered a rumor, it is important to mention that the source previously leaked details about Persona 3 Reload accurately.
