The competitive Counter-Strike scene has several legends, some still active and others who have stepped away from the competitive scene long ago. With the upcoming release of Counter-Strike 2, many of these former players want to make a comeback.
We're talking about Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg, a renowned player who was a key part of the Ninjas in Pyjamas team that achieved an unbeaten streak of 87 maps. As DotEsports reports, in a recent livestream, f0rest admitted that he is looking for a new team, but so far, no one has hired him.
"I want [to return to the competitive scene], but I have to be honest, no offers have come in during this player break, so it looks very, very tough," said f0rest.
As a result, f0rest doesn't know how much longer he will be without a team. This situation is also making him consider other options since he can't put everything on hold just to keep the door open for the competitive Counter-Strike scene.
"I would love to compete again," f0rest said in his livestream.
Will f0rest find a team to write his story in the competitive Counter-Strike 2 scene? That remains to be seen. However, there are few players with as much experience as him, so it's likely that a team will eventually add him to their ranks.
What do you think about this news? Do you believe f0rest will make a grand entrance back into the competitive Counter-Strike scene? Let us know in the comments.
