Resident Evil 4 Remake has already started making history for the franchise. According to a report from VGC, it is the entry that has reached 5 million copies the fastest since 2009 when Resident Evil 5 achieved the same feat in just 3 months.
This remake debuted on March 23, 2023, taking 4 months to reach the 5 million copies milestone, which is notable because Resident Evil Village achieved it in the sixth month. Thus, Resident Evil 4 Remake aims to climb the ranks of the best-selling games in the Resident Evil series and also in Capcom's list of best-selling titles.
Recently, it was revealed that Resident Evil 9 is set to be released in 2025, so the fourth installment's remake will have more time to surpass sales milestones.
