Assassin's Creed Valhalla was loved by many, but for a lot of people, it had a huge problem: it was too long, and some of its content was unsatisfying. That's why for Assassin's Creed Mirage, Ubisoft decided to go in a different direction, offering a more contained experience that will be 3 times shorter than Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
Recently, Julien Chièze, a French gaming YouTuber, had an interview with Fabian Salomon, a producer at Ubisoft (via PCGamesN). In their conversation, they talked about Assassin's Creed Mirage and the duration that this new chapter in the acclaimed and famous Ubisoft series will have.
During the conversation, Salomon made it clear that Mirage will be considerably shorter than Valhalla. According to internal tests, it's possible to complete the game in approximately 20 hours. In fact, those who want to achieve 100% completion can do so in around 30 hours.
"The latest playtests we received have an average duration of between 20 and 23 hours. It can go up to 25 and 30 hours for those who want to complete everything, and we can say that for those who rush through the game, it will take them approximately 20 hours," said the producer.
As a point of comparison, data from HowLongToBeat indicates that finishing the story of Assassin's Creed Valhalla takes approximately 60 hours. On the other hand, completing it 100% can take up to 143 hours. These figures are very similar to Assassin's Creed Odyssey, so a shorter experience will indeed be a breath of fresh air for the franchise.
