Several users of social networks made clear their intentions to fill the game's page with negative ratings and a lot of zeroes. The players opposed this senseless initiative, so they asked Metacritic to act and avoid the bombing of negative reviews.

The issue of possible review bombing to Starfield worries many gamers, especially since the title has not debuted and received its first review with a 0 in the middle of this year. Metacritic took matters into its own hands, but now fans fear that the situation will be replicated en masse when the title finally becomes available.
In fact, it's very likely to happen, as various social media users claimed they are already preparing hundreds or even thousands of accounts on Metacritic to fill the game's page with negative reviews.
"Look, don’t worry. I’ve spoken to a ton of PS gamers. I know one who has 600 Metacritic accounts ready to zero the game," reads one of the comments. "Starting account 1 out of 1000. Goodbye Starfield score," commented another player.
Because of this, fans united to ask Metacritic to strengthen its measures for user reviews. On the other hand, the community was also disappointed that this is happening and called to celebrate the debut of such an important game.
