It seems that everything is going well for Bethesda right now. Starfield is passing its trial by fire, receiving good ratings in its early reviews, and while we'll be spending a lot of time in space, we haven't lost sight of their upcoming projects. The Elder Scrolls VI is still a long way off, and there's no word on Fallout, but from MachineGames' side, the next stop appears to be their Indiana Jones video game.
Where is Indiana Jones, an Xbox exclusive, in its development?
Todd Howard is the man of the hour these days with the upcoming release of Starfield, so interviews are plentiful. One of them, with GQ (via GameRant), provided a good opportunity to discuss something beyond the ambitious space title. It was there that the topic of Indiana Jones was brought up, a game currently in development by MachineGames, the current creators of Wolfenstein. According to Todd Howard, the development process is halfway through, indicating significant progress more than 2 years after its confirmation announcement.
When will Indiana Jones debut on Xbox?
Considering that a AAA development in these times can take 5 or more years, it wouldn't be surprising to think that Indiana Jones could have a release in late 2024 or possibly early 2025.
The Indiana Jones video game developed by MachineGames will be exclusive to Xbox consoles, as it is part of Xbox Game Studios. According to the information available so far, it is generally an adventure game but is also described as a title that will combine elements of other genres and even feature sections in both first and third person.
