Mortal Kombat has become the most successful fighting video game franchise, and of course, its upcoming release has generated high expectations. Megan Fox announced as Nitara in Mortal Kombat 1
In a press release, Warner Bros. announced that actress Megan Fox will lend her voice and likeness to the character Nitara, the main fighter in Mortal Kombat 1. As expected, Nitara's rebellious and attractive image perfectly aligns with Megan Fox, as she plays a gothic-style vampire who must feed on others to survive, much like Shang Tsung. Nitara made her debut in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance.
Nitara's return comes 17 years after her last appearance in a Mortal Kombat installment, and Megan Fox served as a reference and inspiration for her new design.
Megan Fox commented, "I grew up playing Mortal Kombat, and I can't believe I'm going to voice a character in the new game. It's an honor to be part of one of the greatest video game legacies of all time."
While Mortal Kombat 1 is just around the corner, debuting on September 19th, leaks are already appearing on the Internet, and the official launch roster has just been released.
