Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is one of the best entries in the Assassin’s Creed series to date. That's why when the game mysteriously disappeared from Steam, many thought it was a sign that a remake was on the way. However, the reality is quite different.
Recently, Ubisoft confirmed to PC Gamer that Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is indeed no longer available on Steam. However, it's not because the game is about to have a remake or anything of the sort. Instead, it's a response to a technical issue.
"We are aware that Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is currently not available for purchase on Steam. This is due to a technical issue, and our teams are working on a solution to bring it back as soon as possible," explained Ubisoft.
The company has not shared more details about the issue that led to the game being removed from Steam. The only thing that is clear is that it has nothing to do with a re-release, so don't get your hopes up.
