Did CDPR Remove Elon Musk's Cameo?
In one of the early sequences of Cyberpunk 2077, there's an NPC who enters a bathroom, briefly glances at V, and then heads into a stall. Users have speculated that this character bears a striking resemblance to the owner of Twitter and Tesla.
However, one player noticed that the character was conspicuously absent after the debut of update 2.0, leading the community to theorize that CD Projekt RED removed Elon Musk's supposed cameo and replaced it with a generic NPC. Is that the truth?
Senior Mission Designer Patrick K. Mills reacted to this situation with surprise. In a social media post, he put an end to the rumors and stated that there was never an Elon Musk cameo. "It doesn't even look like him. Who came up with this nonsense?" he wrote.
While the South African magnate is absent, Cyberpunk 2077 does feature numerous celebrity appearances, from Keanu Reeves to Hideo Kojima. Even Spanish streamer Alexelcapo has a brief cameo.
