Gears fans have many doubts about the future of the saga, but The Coalition has not said anything about the development of the sixth installment. While we have had some clues and leaks about the project in recent months, there is no official information about its release.

Gears 6 would still be years away from release
The community started speculating about the release date of Gears 6 after artist David Masson stated that he is working on an unannounced title from The Coalition. What's really interesting is that he added that said project will arrive as late as 2026.
While the artist never mentioned or made any reference to Gears of War, many fans believe that there can't be another project from The Coalition other than Gears 6. Given this, many fans were disappointed, believing that the wait will be too long, especially since Gears 5 debuted in 2019.
Other fans of the saga are excited, as they believe that this is finally a hint that the new installment is already on its way. There are also people who believe that Gears 6 will arrive earlier and that the artist actually refers to another project of the studio.
