One of the mangas that has been buzzing in recent days is Jujutsu Kaisen, as one of the saddest events in the just over 230 chapters has just happened. This event was so significant that even Duolingo's mascot found out and is now giving out spoilers.
SPOILERS: If you're one of the fans who still isn't aware of what happens in the latest manga chapter, we invite you to stop reading because not us but Duolingo's official account might spoil one of the most impactful events in Gege Akutami's work.
What is Duolingo, and why is it dropping Jujutsu Kaisen spoilers?
Well, if you already know what happens in chapter 236 of the manga, no problem, because like Duo, Duolingo's mascot, you're probably excited to see the next episode of Jujutsu Kaisen.
We say this because this week the wise green owl used the official language-learning application account to drop a massive spoiler for Jujutsu Kaisen.
If you don't know anything about this franchise or haven't read the manga, you might view the picture Duo shared as harmless. Still, fans know it's a parody of the tragic event in chapter 236.
In it, one of the series' characters died at the hands of another, and Duo and its friend, a supporting character from Duolingo, recreated this scene. We won't go into details, but one ended similarly to Lily, hence fans seeing this as a rude spoiler.
It's unknown why Duolingo did this, as we're talking about the official account of one of the most important language-learning applications today, and many of its users are interested in learning Japanese and enjoy anime. Many may even adore Jujutsu Kaisen, so this spoiler could have affected many fans.
Either way, now you know that if you're a Jujutsu Kaisen fan, you should be careful with spoilers while studying with Duolingo.
What do you think of Duolingo's massive spoiler? Tell us in the comments.
