Attack on Titan had a controversial ending that left more anger than smiles, and fans have requested that Hajime Isayama, its creator, change it. While it seems unlikely that this will happen, many were excited when it was announced that the Attack on Titan manga will have a new chapter.
Before we continue, we must tell you something: it's crucial not to get too excited. We say this because there is no indication that this new chapter will make any changes to the narrative, let alone present a new ending. It's most likely to be a side story in its universe and little more.
With that clear, let's go into the details. This week, it was announced that The Fly, an official art book of Attack on Titan, will include a new chapter. It is Volume 35, titled Bad Boys, and will be a story consisting of 18 pages.
"It has been about 2 and a half years since the serial publication of Attack on Titan ended. Now, we are publishing a color art book. I am very honored. I am glad that the culmination of everything I have done so far has been compiled into a book. I am currently writing a new manga for this art book. It is an extra manga included in the extra Attack on Titan Volume 35. I hope you are excited," said Isayama.
Will Volume 35 Change the Ending of Attack on Titan?
This is news that has stirred a lot of discussion among Attack on Titan fans. Remember that the manga ended with Volume 34, so the existence of Volume 35 has sparked hope in many, as it seems to be a continuation of the story.
That being said, Isayama described this manga as an "extra," and it is a short-duration episode. Therefore, it seems very unlikely to be a new ending or to contain very important information. At most, it could be some kind of epilogue, but don't expect more.
We will keep an eye out and inform you when we know more about Volume 35 of Attack on Titan.
