High on Life continues to be the talk of the town with the recent release of its High on Knife DLC, where irreverent jokes and acid humor surprised players once again. Squanch Games took advantage of the additional content to make fun of one of the most popular PlayStation exclusives and one of its most controversial features. We are referring to God of War: Ragnarök.
High on Life DLC mocks God of War: Ragnarök
In a section of High on Knife, players must complete various quests for a peculiar character. The catch is that if they take too long to act, as if they don't know what to do, then an NPC will interrupt their adventure to help them.
It is then that the game pokes fun at God of War: Ragnarök, a title that was criticized for leading players by the hand at almost all times and detracting from the challenge of its puzzles. Many fans lambasted the help provided by characters such as Atreus and Mimir, believing that they ruin part of the experience.
Players tried to disable this feature by playing without subtitles or muting the audio; however, it was not possible as Atreus usually moves to the places where the possible answer to the puzzles is.
High on Life decided to poke fun at this feature of the PlayStation exclusive with a scathing comment from an NPC, where Atreus is even mentioned. As expected, the reference did not go unnoticed by players and several videos showing it are already circulating on social networks.
"Hey there, Suit-O here! I’m gonna go ahead and give you a little God of War style tip that just gives the whole puzzle away. Go ahead and shoot those parasites on Toxxo and that’ll give you health to heal, and you can stay in the bath for longer. How’s that sound? A-Atreus out. Hahaha…. just kidding!” the NPC of High on Life says.
