Activision Blizzard Games will Arrive on Another Popular Service that is not Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft and Xbox deal will benefit another major company

It's a fact that Activision Blizzard games will arrive on Xbox Game Pass. The big surprise is that it won't be the only service benefiting from Microsoft and Xbox's purchase. Through a statement, it was confirmed that the most prominent titles from the studio are also on their way to Ubisoft+.

In case you're not aware, Ubisoft was crucial for Microsoft to finalize the purchase of Activision Blizzard, as the tech giant sold them the cloud gaming rights to the developer's titles. With this move, they convinced the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) to give the deal the green light.

Now, Ubisoft explained how the acquisition will benefit its players and enhance the Ubisoft+ catalog for the next 15 years, the duration of the agreement.

Which Activision Blizzard Games will come to Ubisoft+?

According to a statement, all current Activision Blizzard games will be available through Ubisoft+. That's not all, as all titles the studio releases over the next 15 years will also be accessible on the service.

Ubisoft explained that Call of Duty is part of the deal, and the titles will include all their DLCs, expansions, and various add-ons. With that said, the most significant franchises from Activision Blizzard can be enjoyed on the French studio's platform.

"In the European Economic Area, the European Commission required Microsoft to allow cloud streaming services to let anyone who owns the games in that territory play Activision Blizzard titles through streaming for free," explained Ubisoft.

The company's plans include offering the games through Ubisoft+ and then being able to license them to everyone interested in the European territory. On the other hand, Ubisoft assured that it will soon begin the necessary processes to make it a reality, so the games will take some time to arrive on their service.
