It seems like it was yesterday when 2023 began, but October has just passed and We are already in November. This month is very special for some men and one of the most iconic villains in video games has just started it off on the right foot and with a brand new appearance.
The character in question is Dr. Ivo Robotnik, better known as Dr. Eggman in the series Sonic the Hedgehog, and who is characterized by his fatness, his glasses, his baldness and his fabulous mustache.
However, for the first time in the franchise's more than 30 years, the malevolent doctor was seen without his classic mustache for a good reason: Movember.
What is Movember?
In case you don't know, Movember began 20 years ago as a movement celebrated in November to raise awareness about diseases that affect men, such as prostate and testicular cancer[/ b], apart from [b]lack of physical activity, depression and suicide.
The word is a contraction derived from the English words moustache (mustache) and November (November) and the initiative is that men who wish to participate must shave their facial hair before and let it grow during this month.
Of course, Dr. Eggman is a fictional character, but that doesn't matter because what counts is the intention to raise awareness about these real diseases in men. Dr. Eggman's photograph had a great reach on Twitter, so SEGA would have fulfilled its objective in this regard.
"Dr. Eggman shaved?! What an image! Dr. Eggman joins the Movember movement in support of men's health and says goodbye to his iconic mustache for the first time in more than 30 years," says read in the post.
The model of Dr. Eggman without a mustache is precisely the new 3D model of the character that appears in the recently released Sonic Superstars.
