Capcom has pleased Resident Evil fans through both remakes and new releases. The studio has maintained a streak of annual releases since 2019, but it seems it will be broken next year.
Capcom is typically tight-lipped about its productions, but fans express their desires nonetheless, especially because Capcom seems to be listening. Many fans of the zombie franchise have suggested Resident Evil – Code: Veronica as their favorite installment to receive the remake treatment. However, if they wish to keep the hope alive for this to come true, they will have to be patient.
Is Capcom working on a Resident Evil – Code: Veronica remake?
Firstly, you should know that fans' hopes were recently sparked after a rumor suggesting the development of the Resident Evil – Code: Veronica remake surfaced on a forum.
However, the renowned leaker Dusk Golem wasted no time addressing this rumor. Not only did he dismiss it as an invention, labeling it "nonsense," but he also later delivered bad news for fans of the franchise.
According to the informant, there will be no Resident Evil title in 2024: no new game, no remake, nothing.
Which franchise will Capcom announce a game for soon?
However, Dusk Golem assured that what Capcom is preparing is a game they will announce before 2024, and the best part is that they will release it before 2025, so the wait won't be long.
Unfortunately, the leaker did not provide more details, so we have to wait to discover which franchise it belongs to.
Taking all this into account, fans believe it could be a new game from the Monster Hunter series, especially considering that it will celebrate its 20th anniversary next March, and apparently, Capcom hinted at the appearance of a new hunter.
