The trailer for GTA 6 finally debuted today after a sad leak for Rockstar, and thanks to the teaser, we could see who will be the two protagonists of the story. Among them, Lucia stands out, as many believe she will be the first woman in the franchise, but that is not the case.
The duo of criminals is one of the features highlighted in the GTA 6 trailer, so players are expected to uncover their story in the campaign mode of the game.
How many female protagonists has Grand Theft Auto had?
After Lucia's revelation, many thought she would be the first woman that players could control as the main character. However, they are mistaken because the franchise has allowed players to step into the shoes of not just one or two, but 4 female protagonists.
You read that right, Grand Theft Auto has had 4 playable female characters, all of whom appeared in the original Grand Theft Auto, which arrived on PC, PlayStation, and Game Boy Color before the millennium.
In that title, players could control 8 characters, of which 4 were the women Divine, Katie, Mikki, and Ulrika, with African, Hispanic, Asian, and Scandinavian heritage, respectively.
Having said that, Lucia will be the 5th female protagonist in the series and will have Latin roots. Although, she will indeed be the first female protagonist in a release in almost 30 years and, of course, the first to appear in 3D model.
There are not many details about Lucia yet because Rockstar has not introduced any protagonists, and we only know her name because that's what they call her in the trailer.
