Although Halo Infinite is in a better moment, the future of the franchise is uncertain after the crisis that 343 Industries experienced a few months ago. There are even already reports that a new project of the saga is in development; however, the studio recently shared a news about the franchise that will surely disappoint more than one fan.
343i is not working on anything single-player for Halo Infinite
The developer promised 10 years of support for Halo Infinite, so fans are hoping that sooner or later there will be more single-player campaign content. A DLC is a possibility for many, even though they know 343i is focused on multiplayer for that installment.
There is bad news for those hoping for more single-player content, as the studio confirmed that it has nothing in active development for now. Brian Jarrad, 343i's community manager, even revealed that they made the decision to focus only on multiplayer 1 year ago.
"I'll be honest, we have nothing to announce today regarding any campaign content for Infinite. I'll even go a step further and tell you that right now there's nothing in active development on that front. We made the decision just over a year ago, to really double-down on improving the multiplayer product," Jarrad said.
So, Halo Infinite will continue to be very active on the multiplayer side, which is undoubtedly great news for many. Especially since the studio's efforts and the improvements the game has received in recent seasons have been noticeable.
Despite this, some players may be disappointed to learn that it is unlikely that Halo Infinite will receive more single-player content. Previously, various reports had already mentioned the lack of single-player DLC for the title, as the studio apparently has another secret project on its hands.
