Bobby Kotick left more problems at Activision: new discrimination lawsuit emerges

Employees accused the executive of age-related mistreatment

Thanks to the testimonies of various employees of Activision Blizzard, we know that Bobby Kotick was not someone appreciated in the company. The executive generated conflicts and many problems for the workers and, now that he is even no longer part of the company, the controversies still continue.

A new lawsuit against the company[/b] has just come to light, where employees accuse Kotick of age discrimination. According to the details, the executive claimed that there were too many older people at Activision Blizzard and, shortly after, some of them were fired.

According to details, Kotick one day made discriminatory comments against some members of Activision Blizzard's leadership team. The controversial executive claimed that there were "too many old people" at the company and, coincidentally, some older people lost their jobs shortly thereafter.

As a result, James Reid Venable, one of those affected, filed a lawsuit against Activision Blizzard for age discrimination. The former company executive claims that he was discriminated against by Kotick and, as a result, received mistreatment at the company.

Venable explains that he applied for a promotion; however, he was denied and the position was assigned to a younger person. From his perspective, the person he chose had less experience than he did for the position. The problem is that said person treated Venable in a hostile manner prior to his departure from the company.

Recently, Activision Blizzard had to pay millions of dollars to settle the gender discrimination and harassment lawsuit. It is unclear what will happen with this new conflict, especially since Bobby Kotick stepped down as head of the studio last December 29.

In recent days, several developers lashed out at the former executive and told unpleasant anecdotes about Kotick and his mismanagement of the company. In the end, the executive got away with it and did not receive any kind of sanction for his past actions.
