343 Industries recently went through one of its worst moments, so its fans are worried about the future of Halo. While the studio has kept quiet and focused on Halo Infinite multiplayer, it looks like it's also preparing a surprise for gamers.
An unannounced Halo project is reportedly in development
In recent days, Justin Dinges, a former art director at 343 Industries, caught the attention of gamers with his LinkedIn profile. The reason? He claims he worked on an unannounced release related to Halo.
One of the most interesting details is that the creative specifies that he collaborated on said project since April 2022. Fans discovered that profiles of other studio developers claim that they have been working with Unreal Engine 5.
As expected, this information has fans of the franchise excited, as all indications are that a new Halo game has been in development for some time now. This coincides with reports that claimed 343i was preparing to abandon the Slipspace Engine, the development engine for Halo Infinite.
On the other hand, the company recently confirmed that it has no plans for a single-player DLC of the said installment. In addition, rumors claim that the developers will gradually move away from Halo Infinite, as it already has the next installment of the saga on its hands.
It is important to mention that 343 Industries has not confirmed the development of a new game for now; however, there are more and more clues pointing in that direction. We will have to wait for the studio to make a statement on the matter.
