Sony recently announced the games that will be coming to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscriptions. However, the company had a slight oversight in revealing the information in certain regions. Thanks to this, we know that a classic game from a beloved horror franchise could soon be coming to the service.
Delivery of Alone in the Dark could be coming to PlayStation Plus
.PlayStation UK announced as normal the games for January through its social networks; however, one detail quickly caught gamers' attention: Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare appeared on the list.
What's really curious is that the company later removed the message indicating that the horror game would join the service in January. The official PlayStation UK channel on YouTube also announced the title as part of PlayStation Plus, but took the video down, edited it to remove the mention of the game and re-uploaded it.
Gamers believe this is not a simple mistake or coincidence, so they expect Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare to make it to the PlayStation Plus classics catalog sooner or later.
Some fans believe it could be one of the titles planned for February, but due to an oversight was included in the January lineup. Its arrival on the service in the coming months makes sense, as the horror franchise will be returning soon.
Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare originally debuted in 2001 and came to systems such as PlayStation, Dreamcast, PlayStation 2, PC and more. The title received mixed reviews at launch. While some praised the graphics and setting, others criticized the controls and gameplay. The game attempted to revitalize the series with more modern elements, such as 3D graphics and a more elaborate narrative.
