Rumors are circulating about the possible arrival of important Xbox games to PlayStation and Nintendo. Microsoft recently talked about the future of its gaming division and how important the purchase of Activision Blizzard is to meeting one of its goals: bringing Xbox games to all platforms.

During a meeting with shareholders, Nadella stated that Xbox is in the position to make great titles and bring them to all platforms. This goal ties in with the expansion the brand has had over the past few years with its services, cloud gaming and other initiatives.

"We think that now, we have the ability to really do what we’ve always set out to do, which is build great games and deliver them to folks across all platforms, right, which is Xbox and consoles, the PCs, and now even including mobile gaming and cloud gaming," the executive said.

During an interview with Bloomberg, he elaborated on this idea and stated that it will be possible thanks to the purchase of Activision Blizzard. The franchises they will add to Xbox will allow them to be distributors on PlayStation, Nintendo, Xbox and PC.

"We love gaming. In fact, Microsoft Flight Simulator was born even before Windows. But, we were number three, number four. And now with Activision I think we have a chance of being a good publisher — quite frankly — on Sony, Nintendo, PCs and Xbox," Nadella said.

Now, it is important to clarify that the conversation was focused on the Activision acquisition and how it will impact the future of Xbox. In this sense, Nadella could have been referring only to the arrival of the studio's games on all platforms, as previously promised, and not necessarily to the titles that remain exclusive to its ecosystem for now.

However, in light of recent rumors, there is speculation that Xbox will indeed bet on bringing more and more of its studios' games to competing consoles.
