What is Silent Hill: The Short Message?
Regarding Silent Hill: The Short Message, its producer Motoi Okamoto revealed that it is a short but complete experience that takes elements from the franchise and executes them in a first-person perspective with contemporary themes.
In that sense, the Japanese creative states: "We wanted to make a new and modern Silent Hill. As part of that, we explored how we could incorporate contemporary issues. We ended up looking at how modern young people communicate online and through phones, and the role that could play in a psychological horror story. For example, one terrifying thing about social media is how even individual, seemingly insignificant comments can, en masse, accumulate and build up into this overwhelming wave of hate crashing against you."
