There is good news for Sonic the Hedgehog fans, as Paramount Pictures has just revealed the first trailer for Knucles, the new production based on the popular SEGA franchise. The company finally confirmed a release date and also revealed how many episodes this live-action series will have.
Knuckles now has a release date on Paramount+
Fans of the popular saga can now mark their calendars, as Knuckles will debut next April 26. It will be available through Paramount+, a platform that will receive the 6 episodes of the production simultaneously.
Paramount Pictures reaffirmed that the series will connect with the films of the franchise, as it will be set between Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3. On the other hand, we know that Jeff Fowler, executive producer of the tapes, was in charge of directing the pilot episode of the series.
Idris Elba and Adam Pally will be the stars of the production, as they will play Knuckles and Wade Whipple, respectively. Also, Ben Schwartz, Tika Sumpter and Colleen O'Shaughnessey will reprise their roles as Sonic, Maddie and Tails.
Neal H. Moritz, Toby Ascher, John Whittington and Toru Nakahara were the executive producers along with Idris Elba, who had quite an active role in the series. As for the story, John Whittington, who was in charge of the second film, was the lead screenwriter.
The first trailer of the series gives us a glimpse of the adventure and some of the dangers that Knuckles and company will face. We won't tell you more and leave you the video below:
