Reports claim that Xbox will bring some of its exclusives, such as Sea of Thieves, to PlayStation and Nintendo consoles. While the company has not confirmed anything and its event to clarify things will be tomorrow, Rare intrigued gamers with a message where suggests that its pirate title will indeed go multiplatform.
Will Sea of Thieves be coming to PlayStation and Nintendo consoles?
To celebrate Valentine's Day, Rare posted a poem on Sea of Thieves social media. The text drew a lot of attention from gamers, as it suggests that the popular Xbox title is on its way to current PlayStation and Nintendo consoles.
"Rowboats are red, and sometimes they're blue, other times they're green, occasionally they can be white...Wait, where were we going with this?", the company stated.
Immediately, the community started theorizing about it and soon identified the colors mentioned with Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox and PC. Part of the community believes that this is a simple Valentine's Day poem, but the reality is that the text generated more speculation because of all the recent rumors.
It is said that Microsoft will make a major strategy shift to expand Xbox's reach to new horizons. To do so, it would bring games such as Sea of Thieves, Hi-Fi RUSH, Pentiment and others to its competitors' systems.
Now, it is important to clarify that Rare has not announced or confirmed the arrival of its pirate game to more platforms. However, for some gamers it is almost a given due to the poem suggesting it. We'll have to wait until tomorrow for Xbox to clarify the matter.
