Helldivers 2 proved to be one of the big surprises of 2024. Despite all odds, the Arrowhead game was a resounding success on PlayStation 5 and PC. Its reception on Steam has surprised the entire community, as its player base continues to grow. Because of this, it has already surpassed an important record of Halo Infinite on Valve's platform.
Helldivers 2 surpasses Halo Infinite's peak of players on Steam
Although Halo Infinite is available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, it had an excellent reception on Steam. Proof of this is that the Xbox title registered the not inconsiderable amount of 272,586 players as the maximum peak since its launch.
To everyone's surprise, Helldivers 2 came out of nowhere with a proposal that convinced many players. One of the most recent achievements of the title is that it has already surpassed the maximum peak of Halo Infinite players, as it has just registered 280,953 users.
Gamers believe that the sequel has done very well, as it already surpassed the mark of a flagship franchise in the industry, which has a robust multiplayer component. Helldivers 2 is slowly climbing the list of games with the highest peak users.
It currently ranks 34th behind The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Naraka: Bladepoint, Destiny 2, Counter-Strike, among many others. Of course, it is far from reaching the numbers of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, Palworld and Counter-Srike 2, which dominate the list.
