The executive will soon be leaving Sony Interactive Entertainment, so he decided to share some of his side as a fan of video games and PlayStation. Specifically, he revealed his favorite games of the brand in each generation.

During a recent interview with Variety, Ryan reminisced about his 30-year career in the industry and was grateful for all the opportunities. He stated that he is proud of everyone's work and happy that he "didn't work in a boring industry."
He then revealed the list of his favorite PlayStation games in each generation. The executive chose Ridge Racer as his most beloved game from the first PlayStation, as he believes it set the standards for the generation and also thinks it is a very fun title.
Regarding PlayStation 2, Ryan stuck with Grand Theft Auto III. From his perspective, the game from Rockstar Games had a "huge and lasting" impact on the industry and on PlayStation. So it's his favorite title from the popular console.
On the other hand, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is his top game on PlayStation 3. The reason? The executive stated that the console and its technology made it possible to take storytelling to a new level, so he is proud that Naughty Dog surprised with a game of this caliber.
Now in the PlayStation 4 era, Ryan sticks with Marvel's Spider-Man, as he thinks it's amazing and was instrumental in having a successful generation with great games on the brand. Finally, his favorite PlayStation 5 game is God of War: Ragnarök.
Ryan thinks the Santa Monica title is wonderful. He commented that he is particularly fond of it as its release coincided with the time when they were able to regularize PlayStation 5 production and meet demand.
