Terminator is a franchise that has been a desire for gamers for decades; however, the releases have not lived up to expectations. Nevertheless, that doesn't mean it's the end for the IP in the gaming world, and a new project will arrive this year with an open-world proposal.

Nacon unveils Terminator Survivors, an open-world survival game. When does it release?

Nacon as the publisher and Nacon Studio Milan as the developer introduced Terminator Survivors, an open-world survival game in development that will be available in early access on Steam on October 24th, with plans for a console release without further information. According to the details, this title can be played solo or cooperatively and promises to include various franchise-related details.

Nacon Studio Milan mentions that Terminator Survivors will take place in an open world just 4 days after Skynet took control of military intelligence systems, unleashing a disaster that nearly wiped out humanity. Players will control survivors now targeted by Skynet and under siege from robots created with the company's technology, the infamous T models.

The studio noted that Terminator Survivors will feature content immediately recognizable to fans, but there will also be new characters and stories, creating anticipation for possible appearances by John Connor and other protagonists.

Moreover, in terms of gameplay, Terminator Survivors will allow us to create a base serving as defense against Skynet's machines, but developing it will require exploration and facing dangers.
