Sea of Thieves is a popular online title that originally debuted exclusively for Xbox consoles and PC in 2018. Despite initial challenges, it managed to overcome them and is now one of the most popular multiplayer offerings in the market. Ready to set sail to foreign waters and arrive on PlayStation 5, it seems that the gaming community is eagerly awaiting its arrival with open arms.
Earlier this year, Xbox announced that 4 titles from the brand would leave exclusivity behind and expand to more platforms. The pirate simulator developed by Rare is one of those games and will be available on Sony's next-gen console in a matter of weeks.
It will be interesting to see the reaction of PS5 players to this new proposal. Will they give it their approval? Are they interested in this type of gaming experience? It seems so.

Sea of Thieves triumphs on the PS Store for PlayStation 5
Sea of Thieves is not yet available for Sony's console, but interested players can already pre-order their digital copy through the PS Store. Although the official release is still over a month away, it has already made an impact on the ecosystem.
As discovered by analyst Benji Sales, the multiplayer game is listed as the most pre-ordered game on the PlayStation 5 digital store in the United States. Thus, it is ahead of upcoming high-profile releases such as MLB The Show 24, Dragon’s Dogma, and Rise of the Ronin.
Additionally, Sea of Thieves is the most pre-ordered game in Germany, the United Kingdom, and France, while in Spain, it holds the third position. In the case of Mexico, it's not in the top, trailing behind another major Xbox exclusive that will land on the platform: Hi-Fi RUSH.
The online game will be available for PS5 at a price of $39.99 MXN starting from April 30. A piece of good news is that it will feature crossplay across all platforms, meaning that PC, Xbox, and PlayStation users can play together and embark on ocean adventures without restrictions.
Tell us, are you a Sony console player eagerly anticipating the release of this title from Rare and Microsoft?
