Final Fantasy XIV debuted over 10 years ago and is currently one of the most popular MMORPGs on the market, despite its rocky start. After a very long wait, it will finally arrive on Xbox Series X|S. To celebrate the launch, Microsoft held a very special contest.
This isn't the first time the company has surprised the community with attractive giveaways. Recently, they held a giveaway that allowed users the chance to win a thematic Xbox Series S from Dune 2. Shortly after, they held another contest where participants could win a Palworld console and more items.
If you had bad luck, you'll be glad to know that Microsoft has just launched another special giveaway to celebrate the release of Square Enix's multiplayer game. There are some very eye-catching prizes that you'll surely want in your collection.
Here's how you can get a Final Fantasy XIV Xbox Series X for free
Through a post on their communication channels, the company unveiled a special edition console inspired by Final Fantasy XIV. The design is beautiful and mimics the shape of the Aetheryte crystals seen in the game; however, there's some bad news: it's not functional, as it's only a decorative piece.
But fear not, as the winner of the contest will also receive a functional Xbox Series X, as well as a themed controller with blue tones. Additionally, a 12-month membership to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and a copy of Final Fantasy XIV Complete Collector's Edition will be given away, which includes all expansions and a free 30-day subscription for you to enjoy the MMORPG.
Participating is very simple. The first thing you have to do is follow the official Xbox and Final Fantasy XIV accounts on Twitter/X. Finally, retweet the contest post with the hashtag #XboxFFXIVSweepstakes for a chance to win these items.
In addition to the United States, this promotion is valid in Canada and Mexico. Residents of these latter 2 countries will also need to follow the official Xbox Canada and Xbox Mexico accounts on Twitter, as appropriate.
The giveaway is already active and will stop receiving entries on March 28. The winner will be notified on April 2 via a message on social media. After a Beta period, Final Fantasy XIV will officially launch on Xbox Series X|S on March 21. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to claim the Starter Edition at no extra cost.
