Since its debut in Early Access in mid-January, Palworld has surprised with its gameplay proposal and certain similarities to Pokémon. The project will continue to improve on its path towards its official release and has just revealed a feature that fans have been eagerly requesting, aiming to win back those who abandoned it.
Pocketpair is still developing the action and survival title with creatures resembling Pokémon, and with the next update, they will introduce what appears to be their version of the Pokémon Gardevoir and the implementation of Raids, where players can join forces with other Pal Tamers to battle against a powerful enemy.
The Japanese studio revealed the new feature through a short video introducing Bellanoir, which not only bears resemblance to Gardevoir in its name but also in the design of the mega-evolved Pokémon.
What Will the Raids in Palworld Consist of?
It seems that Bellanoir is an Evil Pal attacking the Palpagos Islands and will act as the first Raid boss, meaning that if players want to catch it, they'll have to coordinate and defeat it.
At the time of writing, Palworld is the 10th most played title on Steam, according to official Valve figures, but it's true that, naturally, it doesn't have the incredible player numbers it enjoyed at its popular launch, so this upcoming content, the Raids and Bellanoir, aims to draw them back in.
Additionally, it was anticipated that the next update will implement more adjustments and measures against cheaters to offer a better experience. Unfortunately, no release date or window was mentioned, beyond promising it will be "soon." We'll keep you informed.
Palworld is available in Early Access on Xbox Series X|S consoles and PC.
