Despite the controversy surrounding its recent preview, the Silent Hill 2 remake is one of the most anticipated games of the year, and the expectation is that it will debut in the coming months. It is known that the relationship between Bloober Team and Konami is tense, and the Japanese company decides what to announce and when to do it. However, the reality of this project could change soon with an anticipated announcement.
We'll see the new Silent Hill 2 at an upcoming PlayStation event, journalist assures
According to journalist and insider Jeff Grubb, the next preview of Silent Hill 2 will take place at an upcoming event being prepared by PlayStation. According to the information he has at the moment, Sony is preparing a presentation for next May, although it is not known whether it will be a State of Play or a PlayStation Showcase, remembering that the latter event showcases exclusives and major projects in development for PlayStation 5.
Likewise, reports from X from the Silent Hill community and horror game fans indicate that this could be real, given that the interactive show SILENT HILL: Ascension will end this month, and it is said that Konami is waiting for the completion of this project to reveal new news about what is in progress for its iconic horror franchise.
Bloober and Konami still haven't revealed the release date for Silent Hill 2
So far, some clues have emerged indicating the release of the Silent Hill 2 remake this year, but the debut window has not been confirmed. Regarding this, considering that we are already in the fourth month of 2024, one could think of a release for autumn, close to Halloween.
Meanwhile, Bloober Team remains focused on development, and it was revealed some time ago that they are working to polish the game, and evidence of this is that they have moved some of their staff to other projects.
