Reliable source shared encouraging news for fans of the saga

The popularity of Fallout is at one of its highest points thanks to the success of its live-action series on Prime Video. Because of this, many fans believe that it is the ideal time to release a new game in the saga; however, we know that Fallout 5 is many years away.

Fortunately, everything indicates that the wait could be shorter than many think. What happens is that a reliable source assured that Xbox is aware of the high demand for the game and would be interested in accelerating its development due to the rebound of interest in the saga.

Bethesda has some very important projects on its hands and they are its priority before focusing on the development of Fallout 5. The company is still working on the expansion for Starfield and still has a lot of work to do to complete The Elder Scrolls VI.

For this reason, it is estimated that Fallout 5 could arrive until 2030 or even later. Of course, fans of the franchise do not like this idea, as the wait would be too long, mainly because of all the hype created by its TV adaptation.

However, there is some hopeful news. During the most recent episode of the podcast The Xbox Two, Jez Corden, editor of Windows Central, stated that Xbox knows very well that there is a huge demand for a new game in the saga.

With this in mind, it is not ruled out that the company is looking for an alternative to accelerate the development of Fallout 5 and thus make the new installment not take too long to arrive. It is speculated that, to do so, it would entrust the development of the game to another studio outside Bethesda.

Fans believe that the ideal ones would be Obsidian Entertainment, creators of Fallout: New Vegas, or inXile Entertainment, another studio specialized in RPG. The reality is that for now there is nothing confirmed and the report is for now a rumor, despite coming from a reliable source.

Whatever happens, it is unlikely that Fallout 5 will take a few years to debut due to the importance of the project and its scale. So fans will have to be very patient and wait for official information.
