In recent weeks rumors surfaced about a possible remake of the first Resident Evil. Dusk Golem, one of the most trusted sources on the Capcom franchise, was quick to weigh in on the report and delivered bad news to gamers, as he assured that it was false.
The clarification disappointed many fans; however, Dusk Golem has just raised their hype again as he assured that 2 beloved games of the survival horror saga will have a remake. We are referring to Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil Code: Veronica.
Expected Resident Evil remakes could be on the way
Through their social networks, Dusk Golem clarified again that the reports about the remake of the first Resident Evil are false. The good news is that, according to his sources, Capcom is preparing several surprises for fans of the saga.
The insider stated that the company is currently working on Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil Code: Veronica, installments that are much loved by gamers. In fact, the community has been asking for years for new versions of those titles, mainly the latter.
"A remake of Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil Code: Veronica in development right now. I've talked to many others behind the scenes about this at this point, it's something I heard over a year ago, think it was going to get out whether I was the one to say it or not, & that's about it," said Dusk Golem.
The insider took the opportunity to talk about another recurring rumor about the franchise. He stated that a remake of Resident Evil 5 is not currently in development. That said, the next projects in the series will be the new versions of Resident Evil Zero, Resident Evil Code: Veronica and, of course, Resident Evil 9.
