Did you have trouble playing on your Xbox last night? You weren't the only one! The issue was that Xbox LIVE went down, and some of its services were temporarily suspended. This caused multiple problems for players who wanted to stay up late with their favorite titles.
According to users, the outage prevented them from signing in or enjoying games from their collection for several hours. Fortunately, Microsoft addressed the situation immediately, and everything is now functioning normally.
Xbox services interrupted, players had a rough time
Through the Xbox Support account, Microsoft confirmed that some Xbox LIVE services experienced an outage last night. The company assured that it was already aware that several players were having trouble signing in.
Additionally, they promised a prompt solution, as their technical team had already started an investigation. Players took to social media to complain about the service outage. Some confirmed that they indeed couldn't sign in and were experiencing various issues with Xbox Game Pass Core.
“We are aware some users may be unable to sign in at the moment. While our team is investigating, stay tuned here or on our status page for updates,” stated Microsoft.
Other users reported that they couldn't enjoy any of the games in their digital library, causing them a rough time. Some players even requested $10 USD in credit from Microsoft as compensation for all the inconveniences.
As we mentioned, all Xbox LIVE services are now functioning normally. The company managed to resolve the issues within a couple of hours, so the interruption wasn’t very long. Despite this, players expressed their frustration as the outage occurred right at the start of the weekend, ruining a night of gaming for many.
“Imagine this. We all get home from work. We eat and go to the bathroom in our own house. Then we try to play on a service we pay for, and you can’t even keep it running,” stated an annoyed player.
