An Xbox exclusive that was thought to be forgotten reaffirms its debut for this year

The Xbox Games Showcase 2024 was filled with very important announcements, but the presentation wasn't long enough to show all the titles that brand players will be able to enjoy this year on consoles, PC, and Xbox Game Pass.

One of the big absentees from the event was Towerborne, an exclusive Xbox title developed by Stoic Studios. Fortunately, players don't need to worry, as the studio has just shared new details about the project and reaffirmed that it will indeed be available this year.

Towerborne, the new Xbox exclusive, will debut this year

Through a publication in his blog, Stoic Studios confirmed that they are still working on Towerborne, their new action-adventure game. The good news is that the title will be ready this year and will be available on Xbox Game Pass as a day 1 release. However, it is important to note that there is still no exact release date.

The studio took the opportunity to reveal more details about the game, its story, and its world. Thanks to this, we know that humanity will be in serious danger in Towerborne, as a threat nearly wipes it out.

The survivors take refuge in the city of Belfry, where players will find everything they need for their adventures. There will be a council where missions can be selected and important story details can be learned. Additionally, there will be a forge to upgrade equipment and a market to acquire all kinds of items. There will also be a building dedicated to character customization and a lookout to view the game world.

"The Belfry is a beacon of hope and safety among the ruins of humanity and the City of Numbers, with monsters lurking just outside the tower walls. You are the Ace, born again from the spirit realm with the skills, courage, and determination to protect the people of the Belfry," reads its description.

No further details about Towerborne were shared for now, but we know it will be one of the games Xbox will bring to gamescom 2024. Therefore, there is a possibility that its release date will be confirmed at the German event.
