Black Myth: Wukong surpasses 10 million copies sold
Through its social media, Game Science shared news that reaffirms the enormous interest in their game. The company revealed that Black Myth: Wukong sold over 10 million copies worldwide in just 3 days.
This figure includes sales registered on both PlayStation 5 and PC. For now, it’s unknown how many units were sold on each system. It’s clear that the title could have sold even more at launch, but its Xbox version was delayed indefinitely.
Black Myth: Wukong is a phenomenon on PC, as platforms like Steam have seen peaks of over 2,223,179 concurrent players. Additionally, it has become one of the most-played single-player games on Valve’s service.
Regarding its impact on PlayStation 5, we know that its popularity has caused Sony’s console sales to skyrocket in China. This to the extent that the system has sold out in major stores in the region, leading to resale.
Game Science took advantage of the announcement to thank all the players who supported the launch of Black Myth: Wukong on Sony’s console and on PC. They also wished everyone a great weekend full of video games. You can see their message below:
