The live-action Minecraft movie hasn’t been released yet, but it already has its first major controversy. A popular YouTuber recently confirmed that she will make a special appearance in the film. However, she also took the opportunity to criticize Jason Momoa, the well-known actor who will play one of the protagonists.
Rachell Marie Hofstetter, better known as Valkyrae, revealed in a recent video that she will be part of the Minecraft universe as she has a cameo in the movie. Thanks to this, she had the opportunity to meet and interact with big Hollywood stars, such as Jack Black and the aforementioned Momoa.
Valkyrae expressed disappointment with Momoa, accusing him of having bad behavior on set. Unsurprisingly, her comments have sparked significant controversy.
Minecraft movie caught in controversy involving Jason Momoa and Valkyrae
In a recent stream, Valkyrae was asked about her worst experience with a streamer or celebrity. The content creator didn’t hesitate and shared her experience during the Minecraft shoot, where she met Jason Momoa.
She stated that seeing the actor was one of her worst experiences, as he exhibited violent behavior toward several crew members. The streamer was surprised, as she didn’t expect such attitudes from the actor.
Her statements drew significant attention, as this is not the first time Momoa has been involved in a controversy of this nature. He has been reported for bad behavior on the sets of various productions.
“Minecraft movie, I have a cameo. I would have to say Jason Momoa. I just saw him like, mistreat some of the crew, and it was pretty disappointing. It was after a very intense and emotional scene and maybe he was still in character, I don’t know. I was just surprised about how he treated some of the crew.
He was just really mad at them that they weren’t doing something right in setting up the shot and stuff. He was just angry, really mad, and yelling. I was like, this is not a good working environment, I would not be happy working under these conditions,” Valkyrae said.
