A sequel to Alien: Isolation is already in development
Alien: Isolation debuted on October 16, 2014, so Creative Assembly and SEGA are celebrating its 10th anniversary. The title was praised by players and critics alike for its atmosphere, story, and mechanics focused on stealth and survival.
In an official statement, Al Hope, creative director at Creative Assembly, confirmed that they are already working on a sequel to Alien: Isolation. The developer, who directed the original game, will reprise his role for the new installment.
At this time, there are very few details about the project, as it’s still in the early stages of development. Therefore, it's unclear when it will debut, but it appears it may take a few years.
"On the 10th anniversary, it seems only fitting to let you know that we have heard your distress calls loud and clear. Today, I’m delighted to confirm, on behalf of the team, that a sequel to Alien: Isolation is in early development. We look forward to sharing more details with you when we’re ready," the creative director revealed.
Creative Assembly took the opportunity to thank the players for all the support they've given the original title over the years. They emphasized that it was a project that made a dream come true for everyone, so they are excited about the sequel.
