PlayStation shared some bad news for its players this morning, as an acclaimed exclusive will soon disappear from the PS Store and will also be removed from the PlayStation Plus catalog. Additionally, the franchise’s DLC has a limited time left in the company’s digital store.
In a statement, the company announced that LittleBigPlanet 3 for PlayStation 4 and all the franchise's DLC will vanish in a matter of weeks. This news comes months after Sony decided to close the game's servers due to security issues.
LittleBigPlanet 3 and the franchise's DLC have limited time left in the PS Store
Fans of LittleBigPlanet have one last opportunity to add the third installment and all the DLC from the franchise to their digital game collection. The mentioned content will disappear from the PlayStation Store on October 31.
PlayStation explained that players who have the game or the additional content in their accounts will be able to download it without issues at any time, even after it is permanently removed from the store.
The company thanked all the fans for their support of LittleBigPlanet 3 and the franchise as a whole. They also encouraged players to acquire any content that interests them, as there will be no other opportunity to do so in the future on PS4 or PS3.
Another important detail is that LittleBigPlanet 3 is currently available for Extra and Premium (Deluxe) subscribers of PlayStation Plus; however, it will be removed from the catalog on October 15. Players who claimed the title years ago as part of the monthly PlayStation Plus games will still be able to play it after its disappearance from the store.
The company emphasized that this measure will affect all the franchise's DLC, so they invited PS4 and PS3 users to acquire the downloadable content of their interest for LittleBigPlanet 3 and previous installments of the saga before it's too late.
