Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is finally available on consoles and PC. Activision's new game debuted with an attractive variety of multiplayer content, so the fun is guaranteed for this weekend. The good news is that the studio has already confirmed more updates are on the way.
Veteran fans of the FPS franchise will notice that Nuketown, one of Call of Duty's most iconic maps, is not available in Black Ops 6 for now. However, it’s confirmed that this beloved combat arena will arrive in the new installment in the future.
In fact, players can already mark their calendars, as the release of Nuketown now has a date. Fortunately, its debut in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is just around the corner, so the wait will be very short.
When will Nuketown arrive in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6?
The Nuketown map is one of the most iconic settings in Activision’s franchise. Since its first appearance in Call of Duty: Black Ops (2010), it became a recurring map and a fan favorite due to its design, frenetic dynamics, and its aesthetic with references to the 1950s, featuring a retro-futuristic style that simulates a nuclear test town.
Nuketown has been popular because it offers fast-paced and action-packed matches thanks to its size. Additionally, each version of the map includes different easter eggs and details that fans are eager to discover. Given its importance, its return in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was more than obvious.
As we mentioned, Nuketown is not available at the launch of the new game, but it will arrive in multiplayer modes in just a few days. Specifically, it will be playable starting November 1, meaning next week.
For now, Activision hasn’t shared details about the version of Nuketown that will be offered in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The studio only released a brief 20-second teaser giving us a glimpse of the map’s classic setting. You can see the video below:
