Xbox Game Pass has offered excellent games throughout 2024. Microsoft wants the final stretch of the year to be amazing for all users of its subscription service, so it’s already preparing exciting releases for the upcoming weeks.
A few days ago, Leikir Studio and DotEmu revealed more details about a highly anticipated game after months of silence. We’re talking about Metal Slug Tactics, a title that will take SNK's popular franchise into the realm of tactical games.
There’s great news for Xbox and PC players, as it was confirmed this morning that Metal Slug Tactics will be a Day 1 release on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, so it will be available at no additional cost with a subscription.
Metal Slug Tactics Will Launch on Xbox Game Pass
In case you don’t remember, Metal Slug Tactics has been in development for several years, and we saw its first preview in June 2021. The project has faced several delays as Leikir Studio and DotEmu aim to polish it as much as possible to meet the expectations of all franchise fans.
The game will debut on November 5 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, priced at $24.99 USD. The big news is that it will be a Day 1 release on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
That means Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One users can enjoy it at no additional cost as long as they have a Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, which gives access to Day 1 releases.
To accompany the announcement, the studios released a new video with 20 minutes of Metal Slug Tactics gameplay. It showcases characters like Clark Still, Ralf Jones, and Leona Heidern, members of the Ikari Warriors.
This new installment will combine strategy, RPG, and roguelite elements, promising high replayability with over 100 maps and 20 different mission types. Below, you can watch the new gameplay:
