Nintendo is a company known for doing things differently. If you thought Alarmo would be its most unexpected announcement this month, the company has now confirmed that it will launch its own music app similar to Spotify, focused entirely on video game music.
What is Nintendo Music?
Nintendo Music is a new music service available for iOS and Android devices starting today. With it, you can stream music from major Nintendo games or download it to listen offline.
In Nintendo Music, players can find music from various Nintendo franchises, including Super Mario Bros., Animal Crossing, Star Fox, Fire Emblem, Metroid, and more. There are playlists based on characters, moods, and much more. Nintendo Music’s selection offers a mix of recent songs and classic game tracks, and Nintendo promises to update the library with even more songs.
Nintendo Music also includes exciting features. For example, you can filter out music from certain games to avoid spoilers, and extend the duration of songs to play for up to an hour. Additionally, the app will provide recommendations based on your Nintendo Switch play history.
How much does Nintendo Music cost?
Nintendo Music is available to all Nintendo Switch Online members, regardless of whether they have a regular plan or the Expansion Pack. This means you can access it for as low as $399 MXN per year.
If you don’t have Nintendo Switch Online, you can try out Nintendo Music through a free trial of the service.
How to use Nintendo Music?
To use Nintendo Music, simply download the app for iOS or Android. Once installed, sign in with your Nintendo Account that has an active Nintendo Switch Online membership. From there, you’re ready to start using the service.
