It’s Halloween night, and many are celebrating Halloween. As the most prolific entertainment franchise of all time, Pokémon uses this opportunity to connect with fans, who eagerly respond, like those who celebrated by carving pumpkins with Alola Pokémon.
Since 2018, series fan and user It's Adrian! has taken on the annual task of carving creatures from each region for Halloween. For 2024, the turn went to the Pokémon introduced in Generation VII, inspired by Hawaii.

Alola is one of the regions with the fewest new Pokémon, making the task somewhat shorter than in other years. This region’s Pokédex includes 88 Pokémon, including those introduced in Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, as well as Meltan and Melmetal.
However, the total number of carved Pokémon pumpkins exceeded 100 because Adrian also decided to include the 18 Alola variants that debuted in this region.
According to the fan, the most time-consuming part was designing the patterns, which he had to adjust to fit onto pumpkins. Once ready, It's Adrian! usually visits a pumpkin patch to gather the necessary produce, organizing a gathering a few days before Halloween to complete the carvings on time. After Halloween Night, Adrian takes the pumpkins to a farm to be used as animal feed or compost. You can watch the full video here.
In case you missed it: the debut of Gigantamax Battles in Pokémon GO sparked fan backlash.
